Dr. Lara Peters

Lara Peters is a research assistant at the Department of Computer Science, University of Hamburg, Germany. She is working in the Software Engineering Group of Christiane Floyd and Heinz Züllighoven.

Lara Peters studied both medicine and computer science at the University of Hamburg. For her doctoral thesis in medicine (in 1996) she developed a software program for recording and evaluating data of manic-depressive patients. She finished her „AiP” and was approved as a medical doctor in 1998. In 1999 Lara graduated in computer science with a master's thesis on the design of a software system for visualising life charts of psychiatric patients based on the tools and materials approach.

Until 2002 she worked at carus Information Technology AG, Hamburg, Germany. There she gained experience with the development of an integrated Hospital Information System; first as a software engineer and later on as product manager.
