Prof. Dr. Bernd Page - CV
Bernd Page graduated in Applied Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany and from Stanford University in the US. He received his PhD in Informatics and his Habilitation (university teaching qualification) in Systems Analysis, both at the Technical University of Berlin.
In the eigthies he has been working as Scientific Associate in the Environmental Information System Group UMPLIS at the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA) in Berlin.
Since the mid-eigthies he is acting as Professor for Applied Computer Science in the Department of Informatics at the University of Hamburg on tenure in the Center "Architecture and Design of IT-Systems " (AGIS).
He has been one of the founders of the Technical Committee "Environmental Informatics" in The German Computer
Society (GI) and acted as speaker and vice-speaker fro several years and more recently as a board member.
His research interests are in the areas of simulation modeling and simulation software tools as well as of environmental information
systems.
